Booking is open for our Sixth Form Open Evening which is being held on Thursday 5th December.
At Ribston Hall, we’re proud of our school community -
a place where students are inspired to aim high, challenge themselves, and achieve their full potential.
This year’s event will give you the chance to connect directly with current Sixth Form students and Subject Leads, gaining real insights into our curriculum, opportunities, and how we can support your ambitions.
During the Open Evening, you will also learn about the Ribston Baccalaureate, a distinctive element of our Sixth Form experience that goes beyond academics to develop essential life and leadership skills. You’ll meet our Sixth Form Team and the Head Student Team as well as our Sixth Form students and teachers, whose pride in representing Ribston Hall speaks to the ambitious and supportive community we have built together.
Last year, we welcomed hundreds of students and parents to this event, and we look forward to hosting another inspiring evening this year. Book now to secure your place and experience the Ribston Journey first-hand. We’re excited to show how we can help you drive your ambition and take your next steps with confidence.

Ribston Hall offers a broad and balanced curriculum, enriched by diverse opportunities for growth, learning, and self-discovery. We are as committed to academic success as we are to the personal development and well-being of every student. Through strong academic and pastoral support, we challenge our students to push boundaries and go beyond their expectations, preparing them confidently for higher education, further study, or the world of work.

Internal and new students who have missed the entry criteria may request consideration for a place by the School’s Admissions Review Group who may accept or reject applications.
The School’s Admissions Review Group will also consider the case for all applicants who have previously been in receipt of Pupil Premium but have not met the published admission criteria.
The Admissions Review Group meets to look at individual cases where there are extenuating circumstances which may have influenced performance. This group will also examine some cases where a student has not gained the grades to take a particular subject.
For the Admissions Review Group to consider a case we need:
The form, GCSE results and all evidence need to reach the Sixth Form Team by Friday 23rd August at 12pm. Further Admissions Review meetings will take place after this date should there be a requirement to do so.
Please submit the form online and email your GCSE results and evidence to sixthform@ribstonhall.gloucs.sch.uk
What to expect
Following your application, you will be invited for an interview with the Sixth Form Lead, Mrs Cat Nicklin. The interview will comprise a discussion on your aspirations for Sixth Form and beyond, your expected GCSE results and what you would like to gain, beyond academic excellence, from your Sixth Form experience.
A conditional offer may then be made.
If you are awarded a place, which is confirmed following your GCSE results in August, it is expected you will complete the Summer Transition Work for your relevant subjects prior to starting in Sixth Form in September.
