Ribston Hall High School is thrilled to announce this year’s exceptional GCSE results, which reflect the dedication and hard work of our students. We are celebrating an impressive 10% increase in the number of grades 9-7 achieved compared to last year’s results — more than double the national average!
Students at Ribston Hall High School received their much-anticipated GCSE results today, marking a significant milestone in their academic journey. We are proud to report that our students outperformed national trends in multiple subjects. Notably, the number of grades 9-7 in Chemistry and Biology exceeded national averages by 20% and 10%, respectively. These outstanding results are a testament to the students' conscientious approach to their studies and their ability to rise to the challenge of these exams.
Beyond their academic success, Ribston Hall students have excelled in various extracurricular activities. Gracie Janes, who, along with her rowing partner, won the double sculls J16 trial at Nottingham in June. Their victory led them to represent Great Britain in the annual England/France match in July, where they emerged victorious. This 1500m race is the first step on the British Rowing Olympic Performance Pathway, potentially paving the way for future Olympic champions.
Gracie said: "Ribston Hall has been the backbone for me throughout my GCSE studies; they have supported me and challenged me to achieve my potential."
Another student, Aryama Bharti, expressed her pride in her outstanding results, which were complemented by her recent achievement in winning a national art competition titled ‘War Through Children's Eyes.’ Her work was on display in an exhibition in London, showcasing her remarkable talent. She said "I am very proud of my results."
Heather Aylward, another high-achieving student, reflected on her success, saying, "I have got all I have hoped for, and I feel I have done really well. The revision has paid off."
Heather's words echo the sentiments of many students who have benefitted from the supportive environment at Ribston Hall.
Headteacher Mr. Alec Waters shared his thoughts on this year's results: "This year's GCSE results are a testament to our students' commitment and the strong foundation they've built here at Ribston Hall.
