Subject Information Guide

Selecting the right course for you

It is really important you research fully before selecting your courses for A Level. You should read the subject information fully to ensure you know the units you will cover and the assessment information for each course. Additionally, ask for guidance from subject staff and other students to get a balanced idea of what the course entails. If you are following a specific career path e.g. Medicine, you MUST research what the entry requirements are for these courses at university level. You may need to contact university admission services directly to find out this information. Additionally, you should make use of the UCAS course search function at the link below. We realise that this is a big decision for you to make, and understand you may change subject options along the way.  Once you have applied to Ribston Hall, if you have any changes you wish to make, you simply need to contact us at enrolment@ribstonhall.gloucs.sch.uk with your name and the course you wish to change from and to. Once you have started your A Levels, if you wish change your subjects, this ideally needs to be within the first two weeks of study and you need to approach a member of the Sixth Form team.
