Student appointments in the school day
If your daughter has an appointment during the school day, please send a letter in advance. They will then be given a pass at the appropriate time when they leave school or absence will be noted if they are attending the appointment before arriving at school. Also please telephone the school if your daughter is going to be late.
Parking and Pedestrians
We have received a number of concerns from both the public and members of the school community about vehicle movement and parking at the beginning and end of the school day. Stroud Road is very busy at these times and we would like you to try and respect all road users, especially the large number of pedestrians at these times.
Second hand Uniform
If you have any unwanted, good quality uniform, please could it be brought into school. It will be sold to raise money for the RHA. Donations can be given in at reception or to Mrs Stoner in the Food room.
There will be a sale of good quality, second hand uniform on Thursday 8th December at lunchtime. We have lots of lovely PE fleeces for only £1. All proceeds go to RHA.
Every year, it has been a tradition at Ribston to make Christmas hampers for those less fortunate than ourselves in the local community. We make 20 family hampers and 20 individual ones. These are very gratefully received by a local charity who deliver them for us.
We have asked each student to bring in one (or more) suitable item(s) from home. This could be a tin of fruit/meat/fish, packets of pasta/rice/biscuits, mince pies, chocolates. etc. It is important that the items are in date. They can be given to their form tutor, or brought to the Tech 3 or given to Mrs Stoner.
Support for Bristol Children's Hospital
Evie De Gruyther's father has published a book for children to raise money for the Bristol Children's Hospital to say thank you to the hospital when they looked after Evie. Evie and her whole family worked on the book. It can be downloaded on Kindle:

On behalf of the Governing Body may I thank Iain Williams for his work as Responsible Officer to the Governing Body. Iain has had to step down from this role and we are seeking to appoint a new Responsible Officer.
